Tilapa, Guatemala: A Mangrove Tour

"She is the Tree of Life to all that depend on her."

Today we really urge you to watch the video above. It was taken on a trip to Tilapa, Guatemala, a Pacific beach town near the Mexican border where we go on a little tour of the mangroves. You’ll see the mangrove seed and seedling, with small roots just beginning to set, as well as slightly larger mangrove saplings with roots. Snails are all over them! It reminds me of a line in a book I read by Starhawk, “She is the Tree of Life to all that depend on her,” and I think the mangrove truly is one of those trees of life.
